VTDigger, a nonprofit, independent and nonpartisan news source, is deeply committed to Vermont<\/strong>. Every day, our reporters provide our readers with essential daily news coverage, and we invest in hard-hitting, investigative reporting that makes an impact. Vermonters rely on VTDigger, and we, in turn, rely on the generosity of our members to provide our community with the local news they need and want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Vermont faces a severe housing shortage, changing demographics, economic disparities and a rapidly changing climate, Vermonters need VTDigger to provide news and context about the issues affecting their lives. VTDigger makes its news available for free because we believe local news is an essential public service, and lack of means should not be a barrier to civic participation.
